Almond Blossom Festival

  • Description: . This event lasts a week ; Started in the 1930’s as a country event in the amazing temples valley where hundred of almond trees flourish during spring.
  • Date: First 2 weeks of February

Festival of Saint Agatha

  • Description: . Early in February, the feast of Saint Agatha is not to be missed, during which the devotees carry on their shoulders their patron saint’s altar and the candelore (big decorated candles with the emblems of traditional crafts).

Il più antico Carnevale di Sicilia

  • Description: – Carnival floats and huge cardboard caricatures, represent with irony, sarcasm and humour, present and past events and run through the small town. "Il cannolo" is maybe the most famous sicilian sweet and those filled with ricotta are probably the best! It’s possibile to taste it during Carnival, because are kindly offered by local artisans.

Infiorata

  • Description: – Locals work hard for several weeks in order to prepare the biggest spring event producing an amazing carpet made up of flowers which cover Via Nicolaci, the main street in the centre of Noto. Every year a different theme is chosen.

Festival of Saint Rosalia

  • Description: concerns one of the most famous feasts in Sicily. The first “Festino di Santa Rosalia” took place in 1624 between the Pellegrino mountains, where the Saint appeared to a hunter.

Festival of the Pistacchio

  • Description: Bronte is particularly famous for its pistachios from which are made typical dishes including pastries, handmade ice-cream and granita, arancini, pasta and more..!

Ottobrata Zafferanese

  • Description: A market in which typical products are sold by local producers like honey, pastries, handmade sweets and much more!

Festival of Saint Lucia

  • Description: Patron Saint of the city. During these days the city is animated by parades and preparations for the Christmas Nativity scenes.

Festival of the Madonna of the Graces

  • Description: This event concerns the celebration of whose statue is carried on a boat.
